I recently just surfed through this post at SitePoint, simply it starts like:Now in this context I surfed 2 sites and amazingly found the design ditto same, I like the design its clean and flexible here are the two sites http://www.drupalroom.com and http://www.pokharacity.com below:

Pokharacity.comI don't know who stole the design from whom. If its a common template then I just wasted my time but how can two sites have the same theme/look and feel/skin is just a question in my mind. How??? Getting inspired may be a different ball game but ditto copy is....

Alexa.com here , ranks Pokharacity.com 75th most popular site in Nepal. I've nothing against on one but if a site that comes in top 100 in Nepal uses a template and does not mention anything about it in any form then what can we do. OK the license may allow the template to be used by multiple sites but for a commercial purpose with 3 designers (refer above comment) cant a company make a website layout/User Interface (UI) that also for a very popular site not a simple client project a full portal? YOu might say time but if you lack time do not change the UI old one is better than a template. What impression will it have on the whole Nepali Design Scene? Are Nepali designers incompetent in any way? I'm not generalizing but think on this...
About the research part, the company must have asked the template provider if anyone is using the template earlier?? Why no research there for a site that has is ranked 85,64448th in the world site ranking???
On my part I've page that says I've taken a theme and modified it. I'm not justifying myself but its my personal blog not for any commercial purpose. Its in the comments as well if you see the page source. Ok for the use of theme in a Nepali site, http://www.pokharacity.com/contacts.php - this URL Says there are 3 "Graphic Designers" at Pokharacity.com as per the page they are "FOUNDER / Web Master and Graphic Designer- Ameet AR, Graphic Designer & Photographer - Sooraz Shrestha, Graphic Designer- Rohit" So my question now is what do the 3 do there if they can't take the responsibility of designing a UI??? IF a company who has 3 designers uses a template and even slices it to a table layout then what is the standard of design in Nepal??? I've not said anything about who copied who but what are the 3 designers there for???? Don't they know some CSS of is it just to put their names on the contact us page????
Come on man.. Its the theme that is sold in the template monster by dutch template creators.. Both bought it from there. Please research before writing.. YOu too have used a theme for this site... and it makes you a foolish wannabe who has stole... (by your theories)
Goodness Gracious!! I guess, Open Source's objective is to build on something good and make it better. But copying exactly the same!! Oh good Lord! I'm a designer myself. But i never copied the exact same thing, at least not for some commercial purpose. Its jus shameful!! I do get inspired though. And i really mean the word 'INSPIRED'. Its not necessary to be inspired only from a design but you also get inspired from nature and things around you.
i like to think this way...pokhara city might be the copier,stealer or whatsoever in this case as someone said drupal room's been there. the thing to delve into is if that is a free template/design. if that's free i see no wrong.....coz FREE means FREE for everybody not only for drupal room. there are host of free templates and themes on the web. pokhara city, drupal room ,,,are they aware about this?? it would be interesting if you could have them go through your post.....

Drupal room was there form some 3 months ago but Pokhara city just changed its design I guess a month ago. Don't know who is the culprit but its not a good act to do.
