The vision is create a free and open group collaboration platform for people to use around the world, that is versatile enough to work in low bandwidth environments. The first step is create the equivalent of Google Groups / dgroups.org using open source building blocks such as mailman 3.0 (to be released any day now) and Drupal (using the organic groups module).
